Action Alerts

Action Alerts are used to mobilize HHE members quickly around an important issue or bill in the Indiana General Assembly. Often, Action Alerts are sent to HHE members who reside in the district of a committee member who is dealing with legislation related to IU. When you receive an Action Alert, please contact the legislator(s) we have designated in the alert and send a copy of any correspondence to HHE’s e-mail address, hhe [at] indiana [dot] edu.

We have extraordinary gratitude for the work of our state public officials upon the conclusion of a very difficult budget session. Considering the painful cuts in higher education that are taking place in most of the Big Ten states and beyond, we are most fortunate. To also receive funding for the new Indiana Innovation Alliance, it is a true testament to the foresight of our legislators.
